Miguels in Fairbanks

Poor service. Not enough servers in the bar area, not the servers fault, but not a good business strategy. We waited over 20 minutes and never got offered to order while people that arrived after us placed orders and for their food before we could even order. This has happened on multiple visits. One server is definitely not enough on a busy Friday night. We ended up leaving.

Love this place. Perfectly priced and delicious!This place has quickly become my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Greatly exceeding the others in value and flavor.

Chips and salsa are not complementary here, but good salsa. Service has never been a problem either. We ordered their jalapeno and cheese mini tamales, good but not at all spicy if your looking for the heat. I ordered the tacos el pastor. Pork was very dry. The chimichangas(shredded beef) was pretty good to my taste buds. I'd give them another try some other day and test out their flautas for sure.

Pretty good Mexican food. I like it much better than Gallo's.

Food and service was good. Having lived in San Antonio Texas for 50 years it was close to what I call authentic Mexican. Was better than expected for being this far north

The staff was very friendly and polite. The food and price were decent. The food wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad.

I love this place. We come here almost once a week. My four year old pretty much just eats the chips and mild queso but I love everything I've tried on the menu. The wait staff is super friendly and good with kids.

Fantastic Margheritas! The food was great; tasty, wholesome, filled my belly, had some leftovers for later. The waitress was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and conciliatory. She was nice. The prices were reasonable.I will definitely go back!

Was not that impressed with the meal I received, however the margaritas were great. I would return to try alternative items on the menu since the drinks made up for the lack of food

You can always tell a good Mexican restaurant by their chips and salsa.. which were perfect! Fresh from the frier and the salsa was so fresh and had so much flavor. Their pork tacos were the special and they were delicious 😍😋 can't wait to go again.

One of the best restaurants I ate at in Fairbanks. The Fajitas with the Pastor (special type of seasoned pork) was absolutely amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Miguel's has fantastic food and the drinks are great too. It's a great place for a quick lunch, or a nice dinner. Head to the bar if cocktails are your thing. Excellent tequila selection.

Restaurant / Bar with a great meeting room, as well. Great food, awesome beer selection and a tequila selection that's hard to beat! Plenty of TV's for the sports fan and hand poured cocktail specials that change on a regular basis. One of my favorites!!

I haven't yet experienced the restaurant side, as I attended an adjacent party room that my husband's company rented out, but I've visited two years in a row and it is very friendly. Miguel himself always came in with the plates of food and was so friendly, he loved getting compliments on his food. It was such a fun experience. I hope to visit the restaurant side someday. The food was delicious. Some of the best I've ever had.

Very good food and service. Our favorite thing there is their queso! Our 6 year old always asks when we go out to eat if we "can go to the place with the good cheese!"

Very decent for what it is. I'd say you'd be grasping for straws trying to find real authentic Mexican food this far north, but, again, decent.

We had a late lunch and the food was tremendously good. Three of us rated it a five while one gave it a five for food but decided to rate it a four because they played oldies music instead of Mexican music. Just a tiny thing. We'd all go there again if we were in Fairbanks.

I have honestly never had bad service here. The food hasn't disappointed... ever. The drinks are always fresh, and the bartenders are very flexible, friendly, and competent. Absolutely a family oriented work place, and you can see it on the employees smiling faces.... unless its slammed busy. Then it's like an art watching them combat their way through the cramped, fast paced dining and bar areas. Truly wonderful staff and cuisine. Will always recommend. Tbh this is where I take first dates to... I wonder how many the bartenders have seen me with. Hahaha.

Easily the absolute best Mexican food in town. Friendly staff, fast service, great atmosphere, full bar and exceptional food make this a premier destination in Fairbanks. Very highly recommended.

Food and service were good

Service was great. Our waiter was attentive and happy to answer questions and offer suggestions. However, the food was probably the worst Mexican food we've ever had. The salsa was flavorless and the burritos made us both sick. I can't speak for their meat items but we got bean burritos with extra fillings and it was mediocre at best. The tortilla was like the cheap store brand and the beans were barely cooked. The plate was piping hot when it arrived, making me think they heated it up in a microwave. We ate here on our last day in Fairbanks and spent the next 20 hours nauseous and vomiting.Whoever recommended this place because they're from Colorado or Wyoming and they "know good Mexican food" is wrong. Take it from a Southern Californian who actually knows good Mexican food: don't eat here.

Miguel's is a great restaurant overall, delicious food, friendly and personable staff, very quick service. The bar is also pretty good, the bartenders know their stuff. Their drinks are just a little in the strong side which I assure you is not a complaint. I dont have any complaints with this establishment the cook in the back, Jason I think his name is, is wonderfully amazing and cooks a mean dish. When they say mild, its mild and when they say hot, they mean it's the temperature of the suns atmosphere. Also fun fact, right next door but part of the same business(its their banquet room) every other Monday the hold a TAPS class (training for alcohol professionals) you need that class to be taken and passed in order to sell alcohol at any restaurant/booth/liquor store or event

Food and service are always great! My wife and I had our first date here 7 years ago. We’ve been married for 5 years now and this is still our favorite place to eat every time we are in fairbanks!

Great place to get a bit, good service, great margaritas, I would totally eat there again
